Description
The fifth annual July 4 Fireworks Festivities in Sylva, N.C., are planned for Thursday, July 4, from 5 p.m. until fireworks at dark.
This free event organized by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce will feature a concert by the Carolina Soul Band (Soul/R&B/Beach/Classic Hits) from 6:30-9:45 p.m.
There will be food and drinks available for purchase by food truck vendors including Hit the Pit BBQ, South of Philly, Great Smokies Tropical Sno, and Chili Chomper.
There will be free children's activities provided by the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department. These include a big inflatable slide, kids bounce house, and a bungee trampoline.
The fireworks show begins at dark (about 9:45 p.m.) and is visible from the Bridge Park, Main Street, Mill Street, the Historic Courthouse steps and other locations surrounding downtown Sylva.
